Penis Anatomy 101 (NSFW)

Tia seems to always be talking about vaginas in her articles. But today, she'll discuss a very friendly friend of the vagina; the penis. He is also known as: dick, sausage, big fella, or salchicha grande (large hotdog in Spanish). He comes in lots of different shapes and sizes, and complements the vagina and/or anus very well. Since we’re always talking about his partner in crime, I figured I would introduce him to his usual owner—the men out there reading this. And in the meantime, the women reading this can also learn a little bit about what it means to have a third leg. This article isn't intended to be a complete guide. Just a small tutorial. GetLusty's Tia Champagne reports.

Penis length

Hold your breath guys and don’t shriek with excitement. Your penis is actually longer than you think. There you are, taking a second look. Unfortunately (for some), nothing has changed since before you started reading this article.

I can only give you some fun facts, not miracles. But really, your penis does not only consist of what you see on the exterior of your body. Half of the length of the penis starts inside of the body, under the pelvis. So the next time your buddy asks you about your penis—go ahead, say it’s 11 inches long.

Circumcision

Most men are uncircumcised. When males are born, they have a foreskin, almost like a pizza pocket sleeve that lies around the penis. In some cultures, it is normal to have this removed while the child is still an infant. There are benefits and consequences to this.

We don't condone either circumcision or lack of. In fact, circumcision rates have been decreasing, according to numerous media outlets.

For starters, by removing the foreskin, there is less chance of having unwanted bacteria hang out in the gentle area. However, removing the foreskin could also result in men experiencing less intense orgasms. There are a host of other problems associated with removing the foreskin. On the other side, supports of circumcision say its linked to lower rates of sexually transmitted diseases, though we can't vouch for those statistics. There are those who are for and against it, but it really comes down to cultural and religious traditions that determine the circumcision. Either way, learn to love what you have because there’s a lot to love.

Length vs. girth

Length and girth both hold their importance in pleasing women. As I mentioned before in a recent post, the G-Spot is located about two inches into the vagina on the front wall. That means, for some women, a long penis is not necessarily beneficial.

You don’t need much to reach that specific point. However, for many women, pleasure is not just about the depth reached with a penis, but how the penis fits and feels against her vaginal walls. Many women enjoy the feeling of a “full” vagina. That means a girthy penis, which tends to be thicker in circumference, can fill more of a vagina than a thinner penis. For some, the length and girth don’t matter as long as the male knows how to maneuver it to her liking or at least use his tongue or fingers as a replacement. So really, any penis has the potential of being fulfilling.

Male G-Spot

Some say the G-Spot of the male genitalia is the prostate. Now, many men love the feeling of having their anus fingered or eaten out. However, for those who have not tried or do not want to try anal stimulation, the penis has plenty of spots that provide great sensations and even better orgasms. To start off, the head of the penis tends to be the most sensitive. To clarify, the underside of the head is usually the most sensitive. However, this does not mean the testicles are not true pleasure zones. A little stroking of the penis and mouthing of the scrotum can easily allow a man to orgasm in less than five minutes. It really is the motion and the sensitivity of each person’s genitals. There’s a lot to play with so start playing!

Masturbation

There is no unreasonable amount of times you can masturbate. Will your penis get sore after the tenth time in one day? Probably. Will you stop producing sperm forever? Absolutely not. Depending on your sex drive, every man is different.

For some, three times in one day is absolutely normal. For others, they just don’t have enough time to work, sleep, and masturbate as much as they would like. For others, they have partners that take care of their basic human needs. And for the rest of us, there’s a combination of both. Practicing self-love is sometimes the best love of all—it is on your time and is catered to your needs. And at GetLusty, we’re all about being good to not only your partner, but to yourself.

So as a man, don’t value your penis only for its length and girth, but for its value. It helps the reproduction of the human race and allows for both men and women alike to feel a much-needed, fulfilling pleasure.
